To keep your butter at room temperature and soft, without the risk of spoiling, use this ancient way of preserving your butter with a French butter bell.

This stoneware vessel has been hand built using hand carved stamps around the base and lattice embossed plate to form the lid. It has been glazed in an opaque white colour and enhanced with mother of pearl luster for a
special touch.

Directions:  wash and dry the vessel, pack room temperature butter into the lid bell, fill the base up to 1/3 with cool water, place the buttered bell into the water to seal the butter.  Change out the water every second day,
topping up the water to seal the butter level.

Size: 4″ high x 3.75″ wide – holds 250 ml

Hand washing is recommended to preserve the luster glaze.
