Hello, I am Megan, the creator of Sensitive Suds and this is my family. Born and raised in Chatham-Kent (taking some years away to study at WSU) this ‘product/idea’ came about as we’ve struggled from sensitive skin reactions in our household. All started when my son was 6 months old and had a rash over his entire body… Eczema! (He’s now going to be 7) We struggled for years with all the name brands and many more. How frustrating to see your child itchy and uncomfortable for as long as he can remember. My husband also has psoriasis and overall sensitive skin… must be where my son gets it. I decided to make my own laundry detergent as thats what he seemed to be reacting to most.
I have a science degree, I’ve studied saponification and surfactants in organic chemistry. I also have over 10 years of working with famous recipe’s you have all eaten. I’ve worked in (and still work in) Food, Engineering, Quality, and Production. Soo, the kitchen creations started and I found the perfect combo for my families sensitive skin. My husband thought I was going crazy, but this has worked for us!
After people finding out I make my own detergent, they were intrigued, wanting to know more. How? where? Why don’t you sell it? So, here I am preparing this ‘brand’ and I want you all to come along with me for the ride.
