Welcome to Storytime Circles. A crafty space that continues to bring joy and creativity into my life. Creating Storytime Circles was a way to enhance reading within children while creating a bond between a child and their parent or loved one.
I create wooden circles that will follow a storybook, for example, the book ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear.’ As a child follows the story, they can use the wooden circles, that will have characters from the story drawn on them, to engage and play along with the story. This will create an opportunity for a child to use their imagination and to love story time and storytelling. A child can use the wooden pieces to also create their own stories.
My hope is that Storytime Circles brings children added joy and encourages children to read more books.
