Convenience can crush our connection with each other, and we don’t even know it. A white van drops a box on our front porch, the contents are made a million miles away, and we’ll never know the source. Yet, just down the street, someone from the place WE live is doing the same thing, just as good, maybe better. But the other way is just … easier.

But that’s about to change. Now it’s easier to care. Now it’s easier to connect. Now it’s easier to support your community while shopping for great stuff. LUVLOCAL lets you shop local like never before. We’ve curated a growing collection of artisans and producers from where you live and made it easy to click and receive from their shop to your door. So when you care about the people around you, when you give, give to the community you live in, and when you luv, LUVLOCAL.

Welcome to LUVLOCAL, a platform built to help create a level playing field for local producers and artisans who want to sell their products to residents in every corner of the community. It’s the first of its kind, a fully digital and e-commerce solution that allows local businesses to have their products purchased online 24/7 and then delivered to customer doorsteps across the community. We also support our producers and artisans with marketing and advertising strategy and build communications for local businesses to drive awareness about their products and to generate sales across the community.

Sharon Brunetta

Throughout her career, Sharon has been passionate about building strong relationships, bringing people together, and managing projects with care and attention to detail. She takes pride in the little things and believes that thoughtful planning, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to getting the job done right are what make a project successful.
 
A natural collaborator and connector, Sharon has led numerous projects for clients, often serving as the “pin that connects all the pieces,” with a focus on communication, problem-solving, and getting the job done right. She brings a smile, a positive attitude, and a genuine willingness to help to every project.
 
At LUVLOCAL, Sharon wears many hats. You’ll find her managing administrative details, connecting with local vendors, talking with customers, coordinating details behind the scenes, and, of course, making deliveries throughout the GTA and beyond. She loves being part of the LUVLOCAL community and helping to bring local businesses and customers together.

Moréna McDonald

Always involved in something local, Moréna has spent years helping to inspire communities to appreciate what's around them. Best known for co-creating and organizing the Dresden Night Market, Moréna has built a team and event that consistently draws thousands of visitors to a small town in Ontario. The event has had a huge impact on the local economy, benefitting small businesses, artists, performers, local restaurants, and more. A co-creator of many other local events, Moréna enjoys creating unique experiences that challenges the status quo and inspires others to try new things.

She is happiest when she's learning something new and has had the privilege of working in a variety of industries ranging from radio broadcasting to environmental science. One of her favourite things is learning how vendors make their products!

At LUVLOCAL, Moréna shares many responsibilities with James and Sharon, but can most often be found working on the website, taking photos, and delivering products across southwestern Ontario.

James Rasmussen

James is Co-founder of LUVLOCAL and leads the vision & growth for the platform, and brand strategy. 

For 20 years, he has helped organizations unlock growth in complex, high-pressure environments by turning ambitious ideas into clear strategy and real-world execution. He has worked with regional, national, international, and global organizations across multiple industries, navigating scale, change, and competing priorities to deliver outcomes that matter. Throughout his career, James has won many awards helping communities and organizations make big things happen, and brings a “we can do anything” vibe to LUVLOCAL and all of our vendors.
