Nesting Art Print

The Story Behind The Art:
Sometimes my paintings start with a deeper meaning or feeling I want to explore, and other times they're just ideas that pop into my head that I can't stop thinking about. Nesting was definitely the latter.

I don't think I had some big, deep meaning in mind when I first started painting it, but over time I've started to see a little more in it than I originally intended.

There's something really special about the idea of being someone that others, or in this case little nesting birds, feel safe enough to call home. And I think there's something to be said about feeling that comfortable and secure within ourselves, too. Being at home in our own bodies, and creating a sanctuary for ourselves that isn't dependent on where we are, but on who we are and how we care for ourselves.
