Platter, Rhubarb & Gecko

Inspired directly by nature, this one-of-a-kind stoneware platter was cast from a rhubarb leaf grown in the artist’s own garden, preserving the intricate veins and organic contours of the original leaf. Raised on three distinctive conical feet, the platter has a sculptural presence that beautifully balances function and artistry.

A whimsical base-relief gecko stretches across the leaf, adding a playful touch and bringing the garden-inspired design to life. The translucent blue and green glaze flows into the natural textures of the leaf, highlighting every delicate vein while creating beautiful variations in colour and depth. The result is a unique handcrafted piece that celebrates the beauty of the garden in both form and detail.
